The procedure fee is €166.50, code 107, paid with form 790-107. It is the same for both homologación (official recognition) and the declaration of equivalency. Beware: the 790-079 fee quoted on many websites applies to NON-university studies — paying it by mistake freezes your case.
If you pay from outside Spain, the transfer goes to the Ministry's account (IBAN ES16 9000 0001 2002 5310 8022, BIC ESPBESMMXXX) and bank charges are on you: if less than €166.50 arrives, the case stalls. We verify the exact amount before filing.

Which Spanish degree does international business correspond to?
The decision declares bachelor's level in the Social and Legal Sciences field. The Spanish references are the Bachelor's in International Trade, the Bachelor's in Trade and Marketing, and very often the Business Administration degree with an international track, because in Spain internationalization tends to be a specialization within ADE rather than a separate degree.
That difference in academic architecture does not penalize your case — the equivalency is issued at level, not title — but it explains why you will find less name-for-name overlap than expected. What matters is that your transcript evidences full workload and the official status of the programme.

Colombia issues Negocios Internacionales, Comercio Internacional and Finanzas y Negocios Internacionales. Peru has Negocios Internacionales and Administración de Negocios Internacionales. Mexico issues Licenciatura en Negocios Internacionales or Comercio Internacional, with a cédula profesional. Venezuela issues Licenciado en Comercio Exterior. Argentina has Licenciatura en Comercio Internacional, with the certificado analítico.

What the equivalency is for in international trade — and what it is not
This is not a regulated profession, so the case does not examine content: no aptitude test, no additional requirements, and the only real point of failure is documentary.
The equivalency DOES let you compete for foreign trade and management corps, work at public internationalization agencies and economic and commercial offices where a certified qualification is required, access official master's programmes, and certify bachelor's level in immigration procedures.
The equivalency does NOT qualify you as a customs agent or customs representative: that role has its own registration requirements before the Spanish tax agency and does not depend on a university degree. Nor does it accredit you as an approved consultant under export support programmes; those lists are managed by each body and chamber. And it reserves no activity: anyone can work in foreign trade in Spain without a recognized degree.
After the equivalency: public exams, chambers and customs specialization
The public route is the clearest: management and technical corps with an internationalization profile, posts at regional export promotion agencies, and processes run by bodies linked to foreign trade, paid by subgroup according to the annual State Budget Act. All require a certified qualification for admission.
In the private arena, what multiplies employability afterwards is specific training: customs representation, international trade taxation, documentary payment methods and rules of origin. And chambers of commerce and internationalization scholarship programmes — which usually require a recognized degree — are a common entry into the public-private foreign trade world.

Which field of knowledge does my degree fall under?
International Business and Trade are declared equivalent to the bachelor's in the field of Social and Legal Sciences — the same as Business Administration or Economics. The decision does not assign you a specific Spanish degree, but the bachelor's academic level in that field — which is what exams and master's programmes require.
I did part of my degree online — does that affect the case?
The Ministry checks that the degree is official in your country and that the transcript reflects the full course load. The mode of study (in-person, blended or online) does not prevent the equivalency if the university and the programme are official; we do review that your transcript documents the credits properly before filing.
