Recognize your degree in United Arab Emirates
Degree recognition and equivalency managed end to end with the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR). You hand us the documents; we prepare, file and track your case — from 280 € and without you having to be in United Arab Emirates.
Choose your degree and start today
Each degree has its correct procedure — official recognition if the profession is regulated, equivalency if it is not. We explain it on every page and file the right one for your case.
How the process works
File review
We check that your degree and academic transcript meet the requirements of the MoHESR (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research) for the recognition of higher education qualifications — the procedure that unlocks professional licenses in the UAE. Since November 2024 it includes a prior primary source verification (PSV).
Attestation chain
Your degree is legalized in a chain: competent authority in your country → UAE Embassy in your country → Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the Emirates. We coordinate every link.
Recognition (MoHESR)
We complete the primary source verification (PSV) with an accredited verifier and file the recognition application with the MoHESR with the fully attested file.
License and registration
Once the equivalency is issued, we handle whatever professional registration your emirate and sector require for you to practice.
Official costs of the MoHESR recognition
The MoHESR's recognition of higher education qualifications (formerly the Ministry of Education's "Equivalency Certificate", transferred in November 2024) is the baseline requirement for professional licenses in the UAE and also counts toward long-term visas such as the Golden Visa. Official fees depend on the type of degree and the emirate; we give you the exact breakdown before starting.
The indicative timeline, with a properly attested file, is the PSV check plus around 20 working days for the MoHESR's decision. Most delays come from incomplete attestation chains — exactly the part we manage for you.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need the MoHESR recognition in the UAE?
It is the official recognition of your foreign degree, issued by the MoHESR (which took over this competence from the Ministry of Education in November 2024): public employers, professional bodies (such as the Society of Engineers) and several long-term visa routes require it, including the top-tier Golden Visa. Without it, your degree has no official standing in the Emirates.
What is the attestation chain and why does it fail so often?
Your degree must be legalized in three chained steps: your country's education authority, then the UAE Embassy in your country, and finally the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Emirates. If a link is missing or out of order, the Ministry rejects the file. It is the number-one cause of delays and the part that most rewards delegating.
Can I do it from my home country, before moving?
Yes, and it is what we recommend: the home-country part (education authority and UAE Embassy) is done at origin, and the application to the MoHESR can be filed through representation. Arriving in the Emirates with the recognition resolved shaves weeks off your start date.
Do you also handle the visa?
The work visa is normally processed by your UAE employer, but we accompany you throughout with trusted specialized partners, and the MoHESR recognition we prepare is precisely one of the pieces that accelerates it.
